About

What this is

The Astro Brief is a horoscope publication for engaged astrology readers. We translate real transits into plain-English monthly briefs, weekly check-ins, and event-driven alerts. We name the days that matter and why.

Most horoscopes tell you how the month feels. We tell you which days actually matter — and why. Real transits, named planets, exact dates. No mystical filler. No sing-song. Just the days, the planets, and what they mean for an actual life.

The method

Every brief starts with the sky, not a feeling. We scan the Swiss Ephemeris — the same astronomical dataset NASA-derived almanacs use — for the aspects, stations, ingresses, and lunations of the month ahead. We map those events into whole-sign houses for each of the twelve signs. We score them by significance, weight, and timing. The result is a per-sign decision brief: which transits matter, in what order, on which dates.

That brief becomes the foundation of each piece. The structured event data is turned into draft prose with the help of a language model working inside a tightly-scoped voice specification — banlists, sentence-length caps, mandatory date and planet naming, and a six-line editorial eval that every piece has to pass. The draft is then read, corrected, and edited before publication. The system itself — the scoring rules, the voice spec, the editorial guardrails — is the work. The model is one tool inside it, not the author.

What you read has been:

  • Built from real planetary data, not generic templates.
  • Filtered through a per-sign relevance map.
  • Edited against a voice spec that bans vibes-language, mystical filler, and vague hedges.
  • Checked against a six-line eval before it goes out.

What we don’t do

  • We don’t apologize for astrology. The audience already buys in. Skeptics aren’t who we’re writing for.
  • We don’t write under a fake astrologer’s name. The publication is the byline.
  • We don’t pad. If a month is quiet for your sign, we say so and keep it short.
  • We don’t sell predictions. We name transits and consequences. What you do with them is yours.
